I feel only education/ awareness can bring that change.Till then

Here are the few things which every woman must do for her safety

a) Always carry pepper spray / knife
b) Share about unusual incidence/ stalking with your family members or close friends. If you are very shy type, you can note all those things down in your personal diary. As these things will help you in the future for reference /complain.

Indian law against men

Here are the few laws in India, which are totally biased toward females and men are as usual neglected.

1) Adultery ( S.497 IPC)

According to this, voluntary sexual intercourse between a married man  and someone other than his wife
Or
Between a married  woman and someone other than her husband.

In this only man will be punished, not the woman under the law. Means a woman can't be charged of adultery.

2) ( Sec 375,CrPC 53A )  In India, a man cannot accuse a woman of rape.
Even if we know that rarely, but that too happens.

3) There is  no age limit for a man to charged with rape , from a new born kid  to the 100yr old dying man .

4) If a girl less than 18 ,  voluntary, with her consent has a sex with a guy, then that  guy will be charged of rape ,even if the guy is of same age or younger than the girl.

5) (Sec 509 IPC )- word ,gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman. Means a guy  cannot abuse a woman, but a woman can , as there is no law to protect men.

6) (Sec 354 ) - molestation or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty.
Only men are punishable.

7) IPC 354 D- stalking

Only men are punishable.

8) IPC 354 C - voyeurism

Only men are punishable.

9) Section 37 of the special marriage act of 1954-  only a  woman can claim permanent alimony & maintenance.

10) Sec 304B - if a woman dies within the 7years of marriage due to burn or injury. Then it would be faulted on the husband (dowry )

11) Hindu succession act of  1956-
After the death of a bachelor man/ or a man with no wife or children,
Only his mother can inherit his property not his father.

4 Stages in a relationship. Find out which one is yours?

1) Attraction-

When you are new in the relationship. Everything looks  awesome. Everything is new, you wanna explore things, life seems good and adventurous . Its your honeymoon phase. you are high in your hormonally. You are impressed / attracted towards your lover.
you are quite insecure about your lover at this time. You wanna spend each and every moment with him/her, So he/she does not get time to think about someone else. You want his/her full attention and you get it too ;)

2) Failure of expectations / Disappointment-

This is the phase where  you discover so many things about each other which ,you don't like . In this, lots of your expectantions from your lover are not met, as usual, expectation kills.
As your honeymoon phase is over and you start thinking about the pros and cons of your relationship, about your future. You will start to think that the person you met, is really the person ,you want to spend your entire life with him? or accidently you are dating a wrong person ?
Then you start finding faults & flaws in each other,  Hell lots of fights occur in this phase and 95%  of it leads to breakup.

3) Acceptance & compromise-

In this phase, you start to accept the reality. You start to accept the person as he/she is, with all his/her flaws. You stop changing him/her to meet your expectations and you realise that no one is perfect. you stop judging him/her, ignore his/her mistakes and will try to have a better understanding with each other. You will compromise or make an agreement to settle things and can make things to fall in the right place. If you pass this stage, it means your relationship is strong and it may go further.

4) Trust / understanding

After the third phase, you start trusting and understanding your lover more. You have a bonding, in which now he/she can even read your mind . In this, you lose your selfish nature and you start giving- personal space, time and trust.
You understand that you don't need to be possessive or to doubt her.

You trust him/her that even if you let him/her go away from you , she/he will surely return back to you. You are willing  to wait for your lover,  your entire life.

That's the final stage of relationship which is called TRUE LOVE.
